Thank you all.

We have just completed a training course for the Revised Early Years Foundation Stage 2012.

Since the beginning of June here at Buttercup Lane Childminders we have been getting excited over this years Olympic Games and then there has been Euro 2012. We have had early morning fun in the sun with the football in the garden practicing our footballing skills and dare we say that some of the skills shown were better than some of the England skills on show over the last few weeks. We have also been following the Olympic Torch Travels and especially today as it came into Morley. We have a number of fun and educational yet physical activities planned for whilst the olympics are on for all our children. Not forgetting Wimbledon, so we are dusting off the tennis rackets, its going to be one full packed summer and we intend to enjoy every minute of it.

The Ice Rink has has a make over this year and we think its better than ever. There is also a Glacier Run Experience motion simulator that takes 20 people at a time. Just some of the fun during the school holidays at Buttercup Lane Childminders in East Ardsley.

Full report and Pictures can be found at our Activities Pages.

Please see the report under activities for one of the best weeks we have every had at Buttercup Lane , celebrating Chinese New Year.

Buttercup Lane Childminders wish everyone a Happy New Year.
We have lots of days out planned already at your favourite childminders in East Ardsley, The days out will include some places that we have never been to before so you all can discover lots of new adventures and exciting things to do and places to see.
We are also planning some family days out were we can all come together for picnics and enjoy ourselves.
Speak to Lia for further details.

We have a fantastic new educational pen at Buttercup Lane Childminders, Ask Lia to show you it. The pen is like no other it reads pictures and asks you to group items together using flashcards.
Its amazing and helps with Maths and English. We played with the pen for hours and we cant put it down.

Its time to start wrapping up – the dark nights are drawing in and its freezing on a morning so get your scarfs and gloves ready because Winter is on its way.!

Dear Buttercup Lane Childminders

I would like to thank you both from the bottom of my heart for all the care, love and help I received from you for the last few months that we have known each other. I can’t describe how much my little boy adores you both. He always talks about you and about what he was doing with you and what he has learnt. He always asks when he is coming back. I know that he is safe and happy in your care. During the last few months his English has improved tremendously. And I know that its all thanks to you.  I saw and appreciated how from the beginning your where trying to help him to adapt and understand.  Now I;m catching him so often role playing and pretending to be talking to you or Karl or one of your daughters. You have helped me with his potty training and counting. I can see how his self esteem is growing thanks to you. I love all those BIG little touches you put in like the book where you write what he is doing and what he is eating and what he has learned  each day, not to mention all the photos and the pictures he made while he was with you.

Lia I admire you so much and I think you are a brilliant child minder, you always keep children occupied. Its so lovely that your taking my son to different parks and play groups and allow him to explore new places and mix with other children, and I know that even when he is at home with you he is never bored, thats why he wants to come back so much. You make so much effort with all the little gifts and parties. You arrange things that shows us not only our son but things from your culture and your way of life. I also want to thank Karl for teaching him some good manners. Last time he burped he said in English to me “Pardon Me” I asked surprised who taught you that because  being Polish we don’t speak English at home and he answered “Karl”

I also want to thank you both for making us but especially me feel so welcome. I won’t forget that I could always come to you and share my concerns and tell you about my problems, you listen and give me good advice. I’m grateful that you helped me realise some things that you never judged me and also Im very grateful for helping me with my work commitments when I have to work longer than expected.  Your always there for me and Kazio and your pickup and drop off service worked perfectly for me when I had to work late at night as well as when I need you in an emergency.

I very happy to meet such lovely people and I can recommend you to anyone without hesitation.

Thank you again
